Raharney utd youths v johnstown FC

We welcomed johnstown FC to higginstown for the first round of the cup. With a newly formed team of u16s and Youths today,  this match against a division 2 team was going to be a difficult fixture. The lads started really well and the first half was very competitive,  johnstown took the lead from a corner after about 30 minutes and it stayed 1-0 to the visitors at half time. An early goal saw the visitors double their lead just after the break but the lads never gave up in what was a very physical game we created a good chances in the second half but unfortunately couldn't put them away. Good performances today from all the lads and our captain Thomas and mikey in defence stood out, the game finished 4-0 to the visitors and we wish them good luck in the next round.
