Raharney went away to Rossin Rovers looking to bring home three points. The lads spoke before the game on being quick out the gate and taking it to the home side, which they did.
With some nice peice of play raharney where on top from the start, Eryk had two great chances to put the away side ahead but hit the crossbar with one and forcing the Rossin Rovers keeper into a save with the other
Good chances kept coming Raharney’s way but they couldn’t find a brake trough, until Sam McClelland plays a ball across the box to Eryk which was cleared out to Colin who wins a free on the edge of the box. Up steps Quin O’Grady who smartly passes it into the bottom corner to put the lads one up.
Raharney went into the brake with the one goal lead after a back and forward first half.
Taking in what managers Gar and Charley spoke about at half time the boys came out fast again in the second half, as a long ball was played over the top to Eryk who forced the keeper into another save which fell to the captain of the day Sam McClelland on the edge of the box who smashed it past the keeper to put the away side two up.
The lads knew they had to stay concentrated to see out this win against a good Rossin Rovers side.
Dawid Kurlapski who ran himself into the ground and gave everting gave away a tired free kick which led to the Rossin captain making it 2-1.
Raharney knew they would have to dig deep which meant the attention turned to focusing on defending. A back three and keeper off dawid kurlapski, Shayne Monaghan, Dylan McCarthy and Konrad(GK). Withstood the Rossin pressure to see out the three points for Raharny.
Substitutions of Cian, Evan and Conor all made a great impact.
